This system of neurons process and distribute all the information need make your body work. It consists of your central nervous system (your brain and spinal cord) and the peripheral nervous system (peripheral nervse that brings instructions from your CNS to the rest of your body.

Spinal Cord

"A colmn of nervous tissue that runs throught the backbone,"* This cord gets information from the brain and is used with reflexes. Spinal nerves come off the cord between vetebral This cord floats in Cerebrospinal Fluid ( a fluid that protects the spinal chord and brain.

The Brain

The Brain is made up of grey matter (cell bodys of neurons) and white matter ( Cell bodies of axons). It is the "control ceter" for the body. It is made up into three main parts, the brain stem, cerebellum and the forebrain. The brain stem controls basic functions such as breathing and digestion. The Cerebellum controls balance and movment and the forebrain controls emotions and conscious thoughts.

Nerves

A nerve is a bunch of cell that tells the body what to do. Nerves reach all parts of the body. An induvidual nerve is made to pick up electical impulses called nerve impulses.
